Meet Multifactor: Putting Your Digital Life on Autopilot
2025-10-31
Managing your online life can really be a headache. Even the simple act of logging in has become a fractured experience of ever-changing standards and diverse authentication flows. To get anything done, we integrate apps with one another, creating a complex web of permissions that are tough to track and create even more vulnerabilities. How do you bring all of this together into a single, cohesive, and secure experience?
We believe we have the answer. Our product, Multifactor, is engineered from the ground up to solve this problem and a whole lot more. Let’s explore how we’re enabling a new way to manage and experience your digital identity.

Password Manager on Steroids
Password managers were a necessary first step, but they are a simple feature, not the future. While storing complicated passwords is a great start, it has been outpaced by the evolution of the digital world that requires more than just a password to access your accounts. Given that, current products often provide a clunky and outdated user experience and fail to address the other factors of a modern login, with no real innovation in sight.
Multifactor is the next step in the evolution: a true Account Manager. It doesn't just store passwords and it's not just for helping you login. Your vault is designed to hold all your authentication factors—passwords, passkeys, TOTP codes, email magic links, OAuth, and more. As you browse, Multifactor puts these at your fingertips, enabling a true one-click login for the dozens of times you need it every single day. At the very least, it's a huge improvement over the password manager you're using today, and we've just scratched the surface.
Ready to make the switch? Transitioning is seamless. We've built quick import flows to let you migrate from your old password manager and authenticator apps in seconds. We’ll also support the new Credential Exchange Protocol (CXP) so you can easily transfer your passkeys. No manual entry, no hassle. Apps and extensions will be available on all platforms and browsers so you can bring Multifactor with you wherever you go.
True Account Sharing, Without the Secrets
Sharing access in legacy password management applications means sharing the entire secret itself. You send a password and/or two-factor authentication code to a colleague, and from that moment on, you’ve lost control. You have no idea if the password been copied, shared with someone else, or stored insecurely. You’re putting your entire trust in this other individual which is not acceptable when you’re sharing accounts with an AI agent.
Multifactor introduces a new paradigm. You can share access to an entire account with another person without ever revealing the underlying credentials. If you update your password or change a security factor, they’ll never know the difference—their access simply continues to work. You’ll never have to hear “did you change the password again?” or "can you check your email for the one-time code?" You’ll never need to update everyone’s access to an account if you need to remove one person from a shared group like you would if you share a password directly.
This is the foundation of our groundbreaking sharing platform, which makes granting access to any online service as simple and as powerful as sharing a Google Doc. You can grant temporary, one-click access to a human assistant or an AI agent with fine-grained controls:
- Granular Permissions: Don’t want someone making changes to a sensitive account like a bank? Grant them "read-only" access to view transactions, but not to make transfers. Each of your applications can have its own unique set of rules, allowing you to set precise restrictions from a clean, simple interface.
- Secure & Revocable: The receiver never sees your secret; they just get secure, revocable access when they need it. When you revoke access, it's gone—instantly. This would even stop them mid-video if they're streaming a movie on your account.
This is a fundamental security shift, especially for AI. You cannot safely give credentials directly to AI agents; they can be tricked into exfiltrating secrets, and storing them in a chat context leaves you vulnerable to breaches at the model provider level. Multifactor solves this and opens up a whole new world of possibilities for AI-powered productivity.
Your History is the Key to Your Future
With Multifactor, the complete history of your accounts is available to you. Every login, every shared access, and every action taken is recorded in each specific account action log. This not only gives you an unprecedented security overview but also creates a foundation for powerful new features built on your own activity. Plus, you'll never lose a credential again since its entire history is at your fingertips.
As you work more and more with Multifactor, your actions will be recorded so that you can use your own activity log later to create your own automations. This is why we say that you can "put your accounts on autopilot." However, there is no need to worry about your privacy! Any sensitive data is fully end-to-end encrypted with novel post-quantum techniques developed by our team.
Now, with the advent of AI and AI agents in tandem with your own usage of your favorite apps, we can help you put everything together into a single, cohesive experience that simplifies every aspect of your digital life.
Agentic Productivity and Your Personal Autopilot
To showcase the power of every aspect of this new paradigm, we built our own AI agent, Multi. By granting Multi access through the secure Multifactor platform, you can automate workflows across your different accounts with task-specific permissions, giving you a safe preview of agentic productivity. This is unlike any other AI application you've seen before—this one is built for you, by you.
We call these automations "Playbooks."
Playbooks are automated workflows that Multi can execute on your behalf. They can be triggered manually or based on any condition you set. To get you started, the Multifactor app will ship with two built-in playbooks focused on keeping you secure and making your accounts easier to use:
- Password Rotation: Automatically generate and update your accounts with new, strong passwords with a single click.
- 2FA Upgrade: Scan your accounts and upgrade them to the strongest possible two-factor authentication method available.
We all know how tedious and difficult this process is manually which is why no one does it. Now, it’s one click and can be done automatically on a schedule if you want.
And this is just the beginning. Soon, you'll be able to build your own Playbooks. Want a custom morning report that pulls data from three different services? Or an instant alert when specific activity occurs in an account? With Multifactor, you can make all of this possible.
